Disaster Recovery Services: Definition
The El Camino Disaster Recovery Services Emergency Replacement Plan assures subscribing users of the availability of functionally compatible midrange/mainframe computer systems, servers or storage devices, should the user’s own critical equipment become disabled, lost or destroyed as a result of natural or man-made disasters. El Camino Disaster Recovery Services are auditor-approved for those companies which must conform with federal law requiring resumption of computer operations within 72 hours of a disaster.

Priced lower than many alternatives, the El Camino plan is being adopted by a number of businesses, municipalities, public institutions and educational facilities that do not want the budgetary burdens imposed by cold site or hot site contracts. Since it is widely recognized as a viable option to expensive hot sites, the El Camino Disaster Recovery plan can significantly reduce disaster recovery costs
